Helping Paws is a student run site that provides education through meaningful interviews, colorful photos, and information on emotional support and service animals. These animals assist individuals with disabilities, mental health concerns, overwhelmed college students and many more. At Helping Paws, we aim for unification of all animals which assist those in need in any way possible. Information from all across the board is available here in a story-telling collection. Fun Facts:
  • Any kind of animal can be an emotional support animal, not just dogs and cats. Rabbits and hamsters can also be ESAs. 
  • People have brought unusual animals to assist with fear of flying, including turkeys, monkeys and peacocks. 
  • Therapy dogs help reduce stress more than human companions. 
  • The only two animals that are legally allowed to be service animals by the ADA are dogs and mini horses.
  • Therapy dogs can help heart attack recovery. ​
  • Retrievers are born with natural instincts to be service dogs. 

So what?

Service animals, emotional support animals, and therapy animals do more for humans than an average furry-friend. These animals provide service and support to individuals as well as to bigger groups of people, and can even save lives. These guys are always here when you need them, it's their job to provide support whether it be for a disability, emotional needs, and other physical needs someone may have. From children, to college students, to veterans, these paws are here to help!
